How DHI works
In DHI (Direct Hair Implantation) each graft is loaded into a hollow-tipped Choi implanter; the channel is opened and the graft placed in the same motion. Grafts spend less time outside the body and are handled less.
The main advantage: no shaving
If you are adding density between existing hair, DHI is clearly better — the area can be worked on without shaving it. That matters for patients who cannot pause their social or professional life.
What to keep in mind
DHI is slower and needs a larger team. Over very large areas it is not always possible to move as many grafts in one session as with Sapphire FUE. The right method is decided by looking at your donor capacity and the area to be covered together.
